Snetterton will be in fine shape for the 2024 motorsport season, which starts with the Anglia Motor Sport Club Stage Rally on 10 February, following another raft of venue improvements over the winter months.
Upgrades this year have focussed on improvements to venue safety, both on and off the circuit, with headline additions including the installation of EM Motorsport lighting panels. These highly visible panels have been placed at marshal points around the venue, improving communication between the marshals and those on the circuit.
Further trackside upgrades have been made around the lap, with Armco repairs and renewal at a number of locations. New drainage features have been installed too, with a focus on the infield section of the venue which features as part of the 100 and 300 layouts.
New debris fencing has been installed too, both at Coram and at all the trackside marshal posts. All newly installed fencing is configured to the latest FIA safety requirements.
On top of that, all 26 of the circuit garages have been painted and refreshed.
Snetterton Circuit Manager, Stuart Mills, said: “We’re in great shape for the 2024 season after another busy off-season working on a few key areas of the venue. Major upgrades have focussed primarily on the safety of both for those on the circuit and those visiting as spectators, which is of paramount importance. Overall I think we can be really happy with the condition of the venue and we’re all looking forward to welcoming guests back throughout the year.”
