Max ends season with Carlin Motorsport's 100th race victory

20/09/2009 - Carlin Motorsport's Max Chilton has scored his first outright race win in the season finale of the British F3 International Series at Brands Hatch.
18-year-old Chilton took the lead off the line when pole-sitter and 2009 champion Daniel Ricciardo made a poor start and dropped back to fourth place.
After establishing an early lead his position was threatened when the safety car was deployed on lap five, after West-Tec's Max Snegirev went off at Westfield.
However, Chilton maintained first position at the restart and fended off some late pressure from Fortec Motorsport's Riki Christodoulou to clinch Carlin Motorsport's 100th race victory.
Although Chilton was awarded maximum points last time out in Portugal when he finished third behind invitation class drivers Jules Bianchi and Sam Bird,Brands Hatch marks his maiden overall race win in British F3.
Invitation class driver Marcus Ericsson secured third in his Raikkonen Robertston Racing Dallara, after being pushed all the way to the line by fourth place Ricciardo.
Chilton and Ricciardo's Carlin team-mate Henry Arundel finished fifth ahead of Hitech Racing's Walter Grubmuller - who clinched second in the overall standings today.
Raikkonen Robertson Racing's Daisuke Nakajima crossed the line in seventh ahead of T-Sport's Wayne Boyd in eighth position.
